The characteristics of Welsh slate which make it an ideal walling product can be recognised in many projects both within and outside of Wales; recently at the Madryn Aber project it was used to reinstate traditional slate boundaries of historical importance for the Forestry Commission; Pillared walling was used on the Splash Point project in Worthing and other walling products may be found on the Baltic Flour Mill in Gateshead.
The walling finishes available include sawn, split, riven and pillared while the colours are Penrhyn Heather Blue, Penrhyn Heather Red, Penrhyn Heather Grey and Cwt-y-Bugail Dark Blue Grey.
